Wendy Palfrey
Registered Nursing Manager
Wendy Palfrey is the Registered Nurse Manager of Lawrence Nurses. She qualified as a registered nurse in 1988 and gained a wealth of experience caring for patients in an acute hospital environment as a Ward Sister before working as a District Nurse in Northamptonshire. Prior to joining Lawrence Nurses Wendy was employed as a Service Manager for a local Community Trust, managing a large team of community nurses, and delivering all aspects of nursing care.
Wendy’s vision is to ensure patients are supported in their own homes with the finest care they can have at the times they most need it.
Wendy enjoys swimming, walking her cockapoo, Buddy and spending time with her family and friends.
Verity Fifer
Head of Fundraising
Verity has extensive experience in event management, sponsorship, marketing and communications gained at a variety of organisations including 20th Century Fox Film and Television, The Football Association, Watford Football Club, The Chartered Institute of Housing and Central Government.
Verity joined Lawrence Nurses in December 2014 and is responsible for all aspects of fundraising, marketing, social media and communications. Verity manages a core group of 10 volunteers.
Louise Blackler
Finance Manager
Louise is a qualified accountant who works in practice and undertakes the bookkeeping and finance of Lawrence Nurses. Louise has been involved with the charity for many years prior to undertaking this role and has been undertaking the finance since 2016.
Sam Dulley
Operations Manager and Company Secretary
Sam joined the team in 2019 and is both the Operations Manager and Company Secretary. Sam has experience working within a wide range of sectors, including charity and healthcare, and looks forward to developing her role within Lawrence Nurses.
